Zoals het een jaarlijkse traditie is, werden er weer World Golf Awards uitgereikt.



Een hele, zelfs gigantische reeks die het commerciële karakter van deze Awards alleen maar onderstreept.

De New Course van Trump International Scotland (frontfoto) werd tot beste baan in de wereld gekroond.

Portugal kreeg het label van World’s best Golf Destination, terwijl LIV Golf Adelaide tot World’s Best Golf Event of the Year werd gekozen.

Er waren ook een hele reeks landenprijzen.



Zo werd Royal Zoute (foto) als beste Belgische golfbaan van het jaar aangeduid.

In Oostenrijk was dat Adamstal, in Cyprus Aphrodite Hills, in Tsjechië PGA National, in Denemarken Lübker, in England Wentworth, in Frankrijk Fontainebleau, in Duitsland Winston Links, in Griekenland Costa Navarino (foto)



In Ierland werd Ballybunion Old gekozen, in Italië Biella, in Nederland Bernardus, in Noord-Ierland Royal County Down, in Noorwegen Lofoten, in Portugal Vilamoura Old Course, in Schotland Trump Turnberry, in Slovenië Royal Bled, in Spanje Arabella Mallorca, in Zweden Kristianstads, in Zwitserland Crans-sur-Sierre, in Wales Celtic Manor en en tenslotte in Turkije Regnum Carya (foto).
